It’s not just a story about an overnight flight to Kenya, but a real bacterial infection affecting many individuals. The infection leads to red, swollen eyes and discomfort, with mucus discharge, making it a highly contagious and uncomfortable illness.

The contagion is so severe that people are advised not to shake hands to prevent its spread. Minister of Health and Social Welfare has also urged the public to cease. Personal experiences reveal the rapid spread of the infection, with roommates contracting it from colleagues and experiencing severe symptoms within days.

Treatment involves medicated eye drops and cleaning the eyes with salt water, but the infection can persist and lead to extreme discomfort and disconcerting appearance.
