Parents: We Will Be Accountable To God

“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-9.

Ladies and gentlemen, someone will raise and train your children. Children cannot raise themselves. It is up to you to decide whether you, your TV, house helps, will raise your them. But of this one thing be sure: we do not own any of our children; we are stewards, and we will be accountable to God for our role in their lives.

If there’s one institution that the devil is hitting hard is the family. Today’s world looks down on Biblical parenthood and godliness and that’s what we are seeing emanating from Hollywood pushing LGBQT through cartoons: the target is our children.

I now believes that God’s desires for every parent is to courageously step up and do whatever it takes to be involved in the life of his Children. It’s more than just being there providing for them, but to walk with them through their young lives and be a visual representation of the character of God our father in heaven.

If you look at our world now, every tree is protected except for the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We’ve redefined everything and what chaos in this world in which we live. An interesting topic trended on twitter during the weekend and these are what parents had to say:

  • It is a tough lesson for me as a parent, I will work hard to get closer to my children. I will always commit my children to the Lord, the world is full of evil.

    • The times we are living now are just dangerous and we as parents we will be accountable if we don't protect our children.
