Stand Up for Kenyan Values
Why is the British High Commissioner disrespecting Kenyan laws?
The British High Commissioner Neil Wigan has disregarded our cultural norms again. He hoisted an LGBT flag at the embassy, ignoring Kenya’s laws.
This is cultural imperialism at its worst. Kenyans are outraged by this blatant disrespect.
Wigan’s actions are an imposition of foreign values. We cannot tolerate violations of our laws.
The Vienna Convention allows us to declare Wigan persona non grata. His actions violate Kenya’s laws and regulations.
Hoisting the LGBT flag is offensive to our cultural and religious beliefs. It goes against our values.
We have hope, but only if we act now. To make an impression, we need as many signatures as possible.
