The Pleasing Aroma of Christ
2 Corinthians 2:15 (NIV)
“For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.”
Have you ever been drawn in by a delightful scent? A fragrance can bring comfort, joy, or even memories. The Bible tells us that as believers, we are the fragrance of Christโa pleasing aroma to God.

But not everyone experiences this fragrance the same way.
๐น To those being saved, we are a refreshing aroma, bringing the good news of Jesus, hope, and life.
๐น To those perishing, our presence may be a reminder of their rejection of Christ, making them uncomfortable.
Yet, we are called to carry this fragrance boldly, representing Christ wherever we go. We are His ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20), sharing His love, truth, and grace through our words, actions, and lives.
Grant Taylor in Facing the Giants said:
“Your attitude is like the aroma of your heart. If your attitude stinks, it means your heart is not right.”
This is a reminder that our attitude, words, and actions reveal the condition of our hearts. If we are truly carrying the fragrance of Christ, it should be evident in how we treat others, respond to challenges, and live out our faith.
The question today is: What kind of fragrance are we spreading? Are we reflecting Christ in how we live, speak, and love others?
